I picked up photography from my dad. Not that he was a photographer, but occasionally he transformed our boiler room into a darkroom and we would develop family pictures together. It was a great inspiration with a touch of magic.
At the age of 10, I shot my first series on a Kodak Instamatic. Greatly fascinated by Star Wars, I recreated an episode of The Empire Strikes Back, starring my toys.
Since then, I have always been playful about photography. I think playfulness is what is keeping this passion alive for me.
I have never been too specific when it comes to photographic genres. I’m swapping between reportage, portrait, commercial, editorial, Fine Art, corporate or even video and drone keeps my mind young and curious. Hence the title, Visual Artist.
In 2000, I earned a BA in Fine Art Photography from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, the Czech Republic.
